Pridefooled - The Fine Line

We kicked off our new series with a message about being “pridefooled,” showing how pride could both lift us up and lead us astray. Pride had a multifaceted propensity to produce either positive or negative results. It could motivate us to pursue excellence and build confidence, but it could also slip into arrogance, entitlement, and a lack of empathy toward others. We explored how to recognize the fine line between the two and where humility fit in. Since God opposes all forms of excessive pride (James 4:6), it was crucial that we confronted it honestly so we could reflect the humility of Jesus, modeled for us in Philippians 2:5–8.
