Week 3 - Day 4 : KINDNESS prayer

Jan 22, 2026

In knowing God, it’s important to note that kindness always has and always will be part of His character. Some think the Old Testament God is one of anger and wrath, while in the New Testament, He is kind and compassionate. That is not true. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Over and over throughout the Old Testament we see that God is patient, kind, forgiving, and loving. God pursues His people and wants to have a relationship with them.

The kindness of God drives Him to be a God of mission. Before creation God knew people would wander and go astray. Even in creation God had a plan for how to redeem people back to Him once they sinned. The entire Bible is a redemption story. We read of God’s mission to reconcile all creation (not just Israel) to Himself.

One of the greatest ways we can be on mission with God is through prayers of intercession. We may never meet most of the people across the globe, but we can pray for them.

PRAY: God, we know you are a kind and compassionate God, and that your will is for all to be saved (2 Peter 3:9). We pray for people across the globe: in North and South America, Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Antarctica. We ask that you would soften hearts, speak to them, draw them to you. May Christians everywhere be bold to speak of you to others. Humble all people so we would realize our need for you. Lord, may your message of grace, truth, and love spread to the nations. May they know they have a Creator God who loves them and desires to walk with them.

Thank you Lord, for your kindness, which leads us to repentance. May I never go my own way, but follow you faithfully all the days of my life.
