A Mary Christmas - A Birth and a Treasure

This Sunday’s message will explore how the birth of Jesus was a world-changing moment that, at the time, went largely unnoticed. Like other history-altering events that were overlooked when they first occurred, Jesus entered the world quietly, without recognition or honor. We’ll look at the cultural realities surrounding Mary and Joseph, including their rejection from the upper guest room and Jesus’ birth in the lower animal quarters, shaped by the shame surrounding Mary’s pregnancy. As we reflect on Mary treasuring these events in her heart, we’ll see how Jesus came intentionally for the lowly and the shame-burdened, offering rescue and hope to all who are willing to receive Him.
